چکیده

Kinetic behaviors of unusual low-temperature ferroelectric properties of Pb0.97La0.02(Zr0.60Sn0.30Ti0.10)O3 ceramic were studied. In a wide temperature range it reveals the antiferroelectric properties with pronounced polarization versus electrical field hysteresis double loops resulting from the field-induced antiferroelectric-to-ferroelectric switching. The reverse switching time is temperature dependent, and below 210 K this time overcomes the reasonable laboratory time scale. Kinetic data were analyzed to yield the activation energy. At as low as 100 K all experimental results suggest that the ground state of the system remains antiferroelectric, thus the time-dependent dielectric properties owe their origin to the kinetic effects. © 2003 American Institute of Physics. @DOI: 10.1063/1.1565178#

High Energy Storage Density and Impedance Response of PLZT2/95/5 Antiferroelectric Ceramics

(Pb0.97La0.02)(Zr0.95Ti0.05)O₃ (PLZT2/95/5) ceramics were successfully prepared via a solid-state reaction route. The dielectric properties were investigated in the temperature region of 26-650 °C. The dielectric diffuse anomaly in the dielectric relaxation was found in the high temperature region of 600-650 °C with increasing the measuring frequency, which was related to the dynamic thermal pr...

Rayleigh type behavior of the Young’s modulus of unpoled ferroelectric ceramics and its dependence on temperature

The dependence on stress of the low frequency Young’s modulus and mechanical losses of unpoled ferroelectric ceramics has been studied as a function of temperature. The Young’s modulus of unpoled Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 ~PZT! showed a Rayleigh type dependence, analogous to the one already described for the longitudinal piezoelectric coefficient. This has been associated to ferroelectric/ ferroelastic domai...

Energy-storage properties and high-temperature dielectric relaxation behaviors of relaxor ferroelectric Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–PbTiO3 ceramics

1 − x)Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3−xPbTiO3 (x = 0, 5, and 10 mol%) ceramics were prepared using a conventional mixed oxide solid state reaction method. The low-temperature relaxor behavior of (1 − x)Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–xPbTiO3 ceramics were examined in the temperature range from 120 to 523 K. A broad dielectric maximum that shifted to higher temperatures with increasing frequency, signified the relaxor-type b...

Effect of annealing on the dielectric properties of PZN /PT /BT ceramics

The dielectric behaviors of Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3 /PbTiO3 /BaTiO3 (PZN /PT /BT) ceramics of several compositions have been systematically studied in as-prepared (unannealed) condition as well as after annealing (at 880 8C for 16 h). The general trend seems to indicate that the annealed samples become more ferroelectric-like as opposed to relaxor type in the unannealed state. It also shows a shift of...

Influence of Cation Order on the Electric Field-Induced Phase Transition in Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-Based Relaxor Ferroelectrics

The effect of cation ordering on an electric field-induced relaxor to normal ferroelectric phase transition in Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PMN)-based ceramics was investigated. Both A-site La doping and B-site Sc doping were found to enhance the chemical ordering in these relaxor ceramics. However, the enhanced chemical orderings showed different impacts on the dielectric and ferroelectric properties in ...
